3. Postcard Recipient Data
When members upload contact lists or enter recipient names and addresses ("Recipient Data"), we process that information on the member's behalf and at the member's direction. For Recipient Data, the member decides whom to contact and why, and we act as the member's service provider.
We use Recipient Data only to:
- produce, address, and mail the postcards the member orders;
- let the member store, manage, and reuse their own contact lists and campaigns;
- validate and standardize mailing addresses; and
- maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Services.
We do not sell Recipient Data, combine it with other members' lists, use it to market our own products to recipients, or share it with anyone other than service providers who help us print and mail postcards.
If you received a postcard. The Dealroom Partners member named on your postcard sent it to you and chose to include your name and address. If you want to stop receiving postcards from that member, please contact the member directly. You can also contact us at [email protected] with your name and mailing address, and we will forward your request to the member and, where we can, block your address from future postcards sent by that member through the Services.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Services: create and manage accounts, deliver training videos and the community, and produce and mail postcards;
- Process payments: bill memberships and extra postcards, apply discount codes, and handle renewals and cancellations;
- Verify eligibility: confirm licensure where we choose to, and prevent fraud, abuse, and account sharing;
- Communicate with you: send receipts, renewal reminders, account and security notices, responses to your requests, and changes to our terms;
- Market to you: send newsletters, new-video announcements, and offers, which you can opt out of at any time;
- Improve the Services: understand which videos and features members use, fix problems, and develop new training and products;
- Moderate the community: enforce our Terms of Use and keep the community safe; and
- Meet legal obligations: comply with law, respond to legal process, keep tax and accounting records, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
AI-assisted features. If you use features that help draft postcard messages or other content with AI, the text you enter is sent to [name of AI provider] to generate a response. [We do not allow that provider to use your inputs to train its models.] Do not enter client confidential information into AI-assisted features.
We may also create de-identified or aggregated information that does not reasonably identify you, such as overall viewing statistics, and use it for any lawful purpose.
